Where to Buy an iMac
First, consider the long-term value of a Mac Pro vs iMac.
Decided on an iMac? A quad-core iMac is strongly recommended, since the CPU cannot be upgraded, and many applications can max-out dual-core systems.
The iMac has a built-in screen, so choose the screen size carefully— the 27" model is strongly recommended, since it also has more flexibility for upgrading internally (3 SATA ports vs 2 for the 21.5" model).
Since the hard drive is troublesome to upgrade yourself, ordering the 2TB drive is a good idea, since hard drives slow down as they fill up. But a 3TB drive is even faster and more spacious.
Saving money on memory (and more)
